The 2026 Special Olympics USA Games will bring together 3,000 athletes, 1,500 coaches, 10,000 volunteers and 75,000 fans from all 50 states. Through the power of sports and inclusion, the Special Olympics USA Games will spark a change that transforms lives, communities and the world.

Special Olympics Minnesota is proud to be sending a delegation of 245 athletes, Unified partners and coaches to compete at the USA Games in June 2026. SOMN athletes will compete in 14 different sports and will create memories to last a lifetime during their time at the Games.

USA Games is coming to Minnesota June 20-26, 2026! Learn more on the official 2026 USA Games website

Athletes, Unified partners and coaches competed at a qualifying competition in 2024 or 2025 and went through an intensive application and interview process. View the selection process for all national competitions

All eligible participants were put into a random draw and Team Minnesota was selected on April 22, 2025.

The official roster for Team Minnesota was announced live on YouTube on Tuesday, May 20 at 6 PM. Watch the announcement HERE! ?

All applicants were notified of their status via email after the announcement.

Absolutely! You can support your friends and teammates by cheering them on, attend local USA Games events, volunteer at the Games in 2026 and more. Not everyone can be selected for Team Minnesota, but USA Games is a celebration of the entire Special Olympics community!
